Hmm, begin 2001 I suppose. The future will be nice. With all the new techniques, we don't need a Windows platform anymore. We only need webbased applications for our desktop-pc. And also design is still improving, keep it up guys! 20 million visitors is insane!

This is my go to site for inspiration. Not only does FWA provide works of good taste, but also showcases them in a clean and organized fashion.

I am not surprised FWA experiences its 20 millionth visitor :)

5. Who know? I suspect more user input into the selection process. More advertiser positions. I'd like to see more ads targeted to your audience -- ie, ads from Adobe announcing a new product, ads from design firms looking for developers.

If I could ask for one change it would be this: when I visit the site, I want to view that day's winner, and the company that created it. Can you please put a link directly to the company's website. Currently, I have to click the company's name, go to the porfiles section and then click again to visit the site. It would be nice to include that link in the winners section. So it would be like this (using today's winner as an example):

URL: http://www.addidas.com/women

COMPANY: Foreign
COMPANY URL: http://www.foreign.se

DESCRIPTION: ....

That would save me much time and headache when I'm quickly trying to launch many winners and the companies who created the sites. Thanks!

His passion drives thousands of creative people on the right direction regarding the future of the web. I imagine thefwa in couple of years from now. I would so much like to see videos whenever an interview is posted, instead of text. Also, videos from the making of the websites and such things. :)

I am a Flash Developer myself, and my career started because of the fwa. The story is long.. but trust me I owe you one. :)

Keep up the good work! Some day I will be an interviewee. :)

6. FWA has setup a place where high grade projects are presented. I remember that at the beginning of Flash 3 in 1998 challenges and sites like FWA were less qualitative and strict in their choices. However FWA defined a system to award sites that was based on every aspects at a professional grade and not only based on the waouw effect at first sight... I'm convinced that's the reason they became what they are!

5 - I think and would assume fwa will continue to be the leading awards site online. A way to bring the community together is to include more user based functions as ratings and comments to each award. Users could perhaps also create their own top-10 and share it with the community. Congrats and good luck in the future!

I believe you could expand this site to an online interactive agency; have an artist and client page where decent clients (eg. Toyota) post a public brief on the FWA and artists have a week/fortnight to post a working proposal, if one is accepted the designer get's an FWA Prize of say $5000 (paid by Toyota) plus whatever the clients pays to have the artist fully develop the site.

With the kind of talent which the FWA attracts I think such a service would be very valuable to companies searching for high end interactive, and on the other hand provide the pefect input for the FWA community, becoming involved with weekly projects and recieving priceless exposure.

I have ideas coming out my arsehole if you wanna hear more. Mail.

since then i am addicted and enjoy the smart interface and the professional quality of the contributions.

5.The interactive world is getting so fragmented that you have to create structures to organise und visualize the output in more diverse categories than just Favourite Websites. its important to understand digital/visual stategies. a beautiful website is just one output amongst many others.
The FWA has the potential to become the mastermind of the game.
